No wonder you think the phone is no good, its a entry level phone you have.
All of the markets are flooded with poor and pointless apps, not just android

| After my iPhone contract ran out, I've decided it's about time to sack-off my £37pm deal with O2.
I've come across giffgaff which, for £10pm for 250mins, unlimited texts and unlimited net, seems a cracking deal. I know it's a subsidiary of O2 / Telefonica but does anyone have any experience / recommendations for them? Any problems?

I moved to giffgaff from 02 ages ago and haven't had any problems with them at all. The only slight niggle is you have to remember to buy the £10 "goodybag" each month as you cannot automatically renew it. However I've never forgotten to do it so far.
As an added bonus if your phone is locked to 02 (dunno if iPhones are?) it will work on giffgaff as it's the same network underneath.

| Cheers. It does seem to be getting good reviews. There's the odd gripe I can find online but, for £10 and no tie-in, I'll take my chances and save at least £300 a year. The only other issue seems to be the lack of visual voicemail but I can live with that.

| The only issue I've ever had regarding GiffGaff is data usage, in because it's piggybacked onto O2 it's pretty slow alot of the time.

| Anybody know anything about O2 insurance on pay monthly contracts? as finding information on their website is difficult, the online gurus dissapear after my question, and their customer services department aren't open until the morning... when I'm sure they will be getting a phone call.... however in the mean time...
I got my upgrade about 16 months ago. I've always had insurance. As my upgrade I got an Iphone 3gs, And at some point after my upgrade I received a letter saying that as I now have an Iphone, the insurance needed to cover it is £10 a month and will be adjusted in my bill, however this never happened and they continued to charge me the £5 a month for O2 gold insure monthly. Which I have been paying (maybe stupidly) £5 a month for. I've only just really decided to look into this as my phone did break earlier this year and was fixed for free, however was still within the 12 month warranty.. which id forgotten.. and assumed theyd paid for it through the insurance..
Have they been charging me £5 a month for something that in the event of a possible claim is absolutely no use to me at all?

I have a HTC Titan, it uses the same software though Windows Mobile, i find it great and easy to use.
Decent apps are now started to come out as well.

| Cheers. Always had a Nokia and need to upgrade in January, but just want to get a phone I can get for free. The mrs has a HTC but she doesn't like it, and i think the Samsung Galaxy phones are just too big.

| Looking into a new contract phone as mines pretty much kicked the bucket.
Comparing the deals, mobiles.co.uk seems pretty decent.
Looking at Samsung Galaxy SII for £31 a month with cashback by redemption. Wondered if anyone could make any better recommendations/review the site.

I think if you are prepared to pay £31 a month you need some counselling. Perhaps you also get excited about watching "podcasts" on a 2 inch screen, and have a 50 inch screen at home. And you don't see how stupid that is....

Why? He might be able to afford it and use his phone enough to make it worthwhile.
And a lot of people these days spend around £60 a month on their mobile.
