| Once upon a time the Moyles show was good. Some of the parodies were hilarious, particularly 'Stanta' and 'Afro Blair', both now around 10 years old.
In recent years the show turned into self-indulgent crap and shameless self-promotion.
Like Chris Evans, could take a break for a few years and come back far better for it.

| i enjoyed the show - if i want music, i plug my Iphone in - in the morning i want some light hearted, funny material to listen to on my drive to work and that did the job! the numbers of listeners that he got probably contributed to his ego, like it would with anybody attracting 10million listeners

| The single reason that Radio Two has been successful IMHO.
The only broadcaster worse than Steve Wright.

| I will miss Chris Moyles on monday morning, just like I have for the last 8 years.
Rubbish, as is Radio1 but then I'm probably not their target audience. I don't think Ive listened to it since Mark and Lard left.
Buy a DAB and get Radio 6 on.

| Only one station for me - Real Radio XS (or Rock Radio as it was before it went digital).
Very few "DJs" - comes across more like music enthusiasts who've somehow ended up in front of a microphone. It's not slick, it's not over-produced, it's not aimed at the masses - it's just people enjoying what they do, often making mistakes as they do it. They also hold some awesome events.
Gave up on Radio 1 before even Moyles came on board. Most of the rest churn out the same old chart, club, 'r&b', pop rubbish.

| I always change frequency when 'talky' bits come on any radio station. Why can't any of the big stations (not just BBC) stick to playing a lot of music?

| I didn't like Moyles, but there was no denying he was/is a very natural radio presenter. However, he had two major problems.
1. He wasn't as funny as he thought he was, which led to him being particularly grating.
2. He was obsessed with 'celebrity'....In fact, he is probably the poster boy of the dumbed down generation which has been created in the last decade or so (X Factor, Big Brother, Heat magazine, etc)....His relationships with similarly lacking-in-talent-yet-somehow-famous types like Davina McCall, Cheryl Cole, etc have only served to highlight how needy his own delicate ego obviously is, as he would lick backside like no other when these folk were about, yet would play the big superstar to more normal people, and would often apppear to bully anybody who spoke out against him.
Ultimately, he was a very polished presenter (compared to some of the other e you hear on the radio), but he just wasn't as good or funny as he would like to believe he was.

| Can't say I've listened to any radio station other than 6 Music in the last year or 2. What I like about 6 is the feeling that the presenter/DJ is playing what they like and you get a more personal feeling.
at 1 etc. I suspect you are told to play so much of whoever flavour of the month is. Moyles was only doing his job, and by the sound of it he was doing alright

| I tend to listen to smooth radio at that time in the morning. Simon Bates is cringeworthy and the embodiment of Dave Nice, but he does play some good music.
