As someone who lives / spends quite a lot of my working life in Germany, it has occurred to me that I could drive on German plates and basically stick 2 fingers up at UK road traffic law, as and when I pop back to the UK for visits and holidays. The police / councils usually see it as too much trouble to pursue the owners of foreign registered cars.

The problem with German plates is that I would probably get my car trashed, especially visiting places like Hull.

Interestingly, I have never, ever, had any abuse / vandalism issues driving and leaving my British registered car in German towns and cities.

I've never ridden one (not even sat on one) and am not an=bout to start now. Hurrumph.

Madness, in the time it would take me to remember to do that I'd be into the back of that coal wagon again.

Looks dangerous. Thos habbits could very easily get caught in the chain/cogs.

I work in Transport in Central, North East London and South Hertfordshire, i can't avoid it, in fact all holidays were banned from the start of the Olympics to the end of the para's.

I'm expecting to be busy as fook and having a summer holiday in summery September :-/

The most important thing, something that everybody seems to have overlooked, is that WestHam get a lovely new shiny stadium to use.

really pi$$ed off about this. it was announced yesterday that the torch will not be run over the tamar bridge but put in a van and driven across instead because it might hold up the traffic for a few minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is a walkway/cycle lane across the bridge. they can use that with no disruption to traffic flow.
only in england.
i bet it will be run over other bridges up country with no problem. organisers my ar$e.
