| Currently listening to a lot of Delta Blues, a particular favourite being Blind Willie Johnson and his song "John the Revelator"
This has now led me and my mate to try and collaborate a version using a megaphone, a lap steel, his girlfriend to do the response, and a whole lot of white guy failing to be proper soulful.
White guys just can't do it!

| My brother and his mates got free all expenses tickets to the Hammer Golden Gods awards on Monday in that London.
Feeling rather jealous I am.

| As festival season is now creeping up, anyone getting down to any? If so which ones?
I'm going to Leeds but I would love to finally go to T in the Park, best lineup of any British festival this year IMO.

I'm off to Kendal Calling at the end of July. Small-ish (8,000 people). Looking forward to The Cribs, Frank Turner, Echo and the Bunnymen, Levellers, Blondie, Frankie and the Heartstrings amongst others.

| After looking in depth what I should have said was T in the Park has by far the best headliners and sub headliners (-beyonce.) after that it all becomes a bit too UK top 40 for me.

| So, another find in Preston. Cocoshackle. Lovely two piece, nice harmonies, great lead vocals, and superb guitar playing.
Shame the Ship can't organise itself and the guitar sound was terrible. Will be looking out for them.

Me too!
Also I don't post on here very often but while there's a few Prestoners on the thread I thought I might sneak in a quick plug...my band Cue Tigers are playing their first proper gig at an all dayer at the Dog and Partridge on Sunday 3rd July. I think we're first on at around 4ish, come on down! The sound is a lot better than The Ship!

Will they clean up afterwards though?
On a different note, just listening to My Morning Jacket's Circuital, and I've two words to say about it and one of them is fantastic. Big thumbs up to what could be their best one yet.

| Went to Don Valley on Saturday for the AM gig and got my first chance to really listen to Miles Kane. He's a good showman and has a very good sound, a bit Liam Gallagher-esque. Very worth a listen IMO.
