So Sue Gray didn’t investigate many of Lyin Boris’s parties because the MET investigation started.
And the MET didn’t investigate many of Lyin Boris’s parties because they weren’t in Sue Grays report.

What a classic cover up icon_biggrin.gif

They currently appear to be reducing their majority one sex scandal at a time and I hope that here in Wakefield we can make a start.

Do you really believe what you posted ?

It's been interesting to see that the PM feels that he had to say "thank you" to his staff at the numerous parties / gatherings and yet, never once did he feel that those gatherings were wrong or inappropriate.
Which other employers / businesses were still having such gatherings during lockdown.

As their "boss", he should have been unplugging the sound system and telling them to leave the premises and having strong words with those who organised the weekly events.

Wasn’t Grays report complete when the Met started their investigation hence the delay.
What an over promoted damp squib the Gray report turned out to be. How much time and money has been wasted by a journalist driven campaign to get at Boris.

Anyway over to Rishi. Let’s move on and deal with the issues

A windfall tax on oil and gas who would of thought of that. I am surprised no one had considered that idea before.

Finally after years, labour put forward a policy (thats been adopted) and didn’t Starmer flog it during PMQs this week. He’s so far of the pace to lead a Government it’s embarrassing. Labour should focus on bringing in a leader who resonates with the population rather than chasing Boris out the door.

It was Johnson that banged on and on about waiting for it to buy time. It says exactly what everybody knew it would say, because what’d happened had been obvious months earlier, from Stratton’s recorded nervous laugh onwards.

He’s a twunt of national negative utility, a cancer on our public life, a global embarrassment, a fraud and an unrepentant, exuberant, probably pathological liar. Given that he is Prime Minister, I think it is good that this as widely known as possible.

The Conservative Party is now the Party of Johnson, they have decided. In a couple of years people will get the chance to decide, everyone knowing what he is, whether we should be the Country of Johnson. The journalists and Sue Gray mean that nobody can be in any doubt about what that choice is and what that decision would entail, so I think whatever has been spent was worth it.

Starmer could be forgiven for being "off the pace" (although I dont agree with your analogy), after all, he's only leader of the opposition.
However, your man (Johnson) and his side kick Sunak have waited MONTHS to take meaningful action over the cost of living crisis, MONTHS and even now, their solution is but, as sticking plaster.

What is most increddible is that Johnson said in Parliament that he "accepted full responsibility" for the goings on in No 10 during lockdown.
Given that there were 100+ fines (with some "parties" not even investigated), then, surely, he has to resign.
By not doing so, he clearly isn't "taking responsibility", unless, of course, he feels that he is above the law and that the illegal gatherings dont matter.

Resignation (which is what Labour call for repeatedly) isn’t necessarily the only option although with KS and his two flanking ring walkers you would think it is
He said sorry, he isn’t going anywhere so just accept that.

Labour can now claim benefit for the Lib Dems and SNP windfall tax policy.

To be fair, thats the tories to a Tee. Any crisis takes them months to respond.

If a tory says he is going to do something, he will do it. No need to remind them every 6 months

Two by-election in June, and the parliament standards investigation of Johnson coming up. icon_biggrin.gif

Legal action initiated by the good law group against the MET for an incomplete investigation of Johnson’s partying, and to be initiated against the government to have Sue Gray properly complete her investigation into parties she overlooked. icon_biggrin.gif

Labour and other parties are only repeating the demand of the voters that Johnson is not fit for office, has repeatedly lied, and must resign. End of.

Covid victims group got millions of votes just waiting the time icon_smile.gif
In our broken democracy it’s only Tory co conspirators can dump him. icon_lol.gif

We can accept something as true and wish for better.
I accept he isn't going anywhere. I don't accept his apology because it is not sincere, and even if it was it'd be insufficient without an accompanying resignation.

He flouted the rules and oversaw an organisation that both created them and flagrantly and repeatedly broke them, during the biggest acute public health crisis of the modern era. Other people, better people (low bar, admittedly) resigned for less and that was seen as appropriate. Big Dog though, he's still sitting there in his own metaphorical excrement, stinking out the nation out. I accept it is true, but it'd be weird to like it, yeah?

How out of curiosity have you reached a position whereby you don’t believe his apology is sincere? You really have no balance do you?

His consistent record as a liar and the way it was delivered. Also reports of him downplaying and dismissing the importance of it all in private and to the 1922 committee. And the Beer Korma gag that made Raab wince (not sure if that was the inappropriateness of it, or the fact that it [ialmost[/i works but Korma doesn't quite rhyme with Starmer... if only they'd ordered kebabs, he could have used Shwarma)

Do you believe his apology is sincere, and his 'humbling' has in any way changed him?

I have you. You are the last and therefore precious to me, my Johnsonian friend.
