My usual film of choice would include the works of PT Anderson or Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. But at this time of year, if 'You've Got Mail' is on TV I have to watch it.

I love romantic comedies (well funny ones anyway) so they're rarely a guilty pleasure for me. Stuff like biopics and sports films I like but rarely are they any good, as they both tend to be formulaic and dull. Occasionally you get an interesting one every now and then e.g. [iLa Vie En Rose[/i, [iAuto Focus[/i, but usually both are relatively conservative affairs.

Just the fact you get Stallone, Michael Caine, Max VonSydow, Bobby Moore, Pele and a host of football stars all together in a film, combined with one of the most hole-ridden scripts of all time, makes this film a bona fide classic.... |

Especially seeing as Bobby Moore and Edison Arantes do Nascimento are superior actors than Stallone and Caine.
