Saturday afternoon gig this weekend for me. Peel favourites The Nightingales, with Ted Chippington, John Hyatt from The Three Johns and local band Changing Horses. And great beer at The Continental in Preston. '80s here I come.

Not only got Pressure 28 blasting out, but just heard up and coming Leigh band Jerrimiah Ferrari are sending me their EP too.
JF have been my find of the year so far, with a bit of a push their ska/reggae/funk/rock blend could go somewhere, and they're not full of their own bulls hit either, they just seem to be enjoying themselves out there.

And I suspect there may be more CDs to come too next week, top stuff.

Went to see a gig at the cockpit in Leeds the other week. Some excellent stuff in particular someone called hannah trigwell who was releasing her debut Ep. Excellent voice, and she can play music as well

She's on at Kendal Calling - I shall make sure I check her out.

She is very good, and quite easy on the eye as well

Tickets for this will be like gold dust. His gig in 2008 at the Brudenell was amazing.

Washington Irving need to be signed up right now so they can do a full album. Marvellous.
