| Quote: bren2k "The final days of her premiership dribble away like the closing spasms of a particularly rancid turd - and we're faced with a longlist of ba$tards ready to take over; who range from the dim, through the moderately malignant, to the downright evil. Another Tory tw@ picking up the top job, without any form of public vote.
It's time for a GE - and afterwards, in a final act, Ken Clarke should take the Tory Party into the back yard and shoot it in the head, like a mangy old dog that can no longer control its bowels.'"
Is it fair to say that they cannot count on your vote?
May wasn’t necessarily the worst prime minister ever, though a case could certainly be made for it. However, it is safer to say she was the most out of her depth. She inherited a real political mess. She made it worse, but making it much better would have been a big ask even for a great statesperson.

| Goodbye Theresa & thanks for the memories, erm, oh yes, "Strong & Stable" & "Britain will leave the E.U. on the 29th March"
Finally she's shown some emotion, unfortunately like Thatcher before her, just tears for her own demise.
A shocking P.M. leading a right wing government chastised by a rag-tag opposition, deciding over the greatest peace time problem in living memory.

Quite baffling how a right wing government would place a remainer in the top job really.

That was kind of my point, Ted Heath took us into Europe, and this dumb government can’t get us out of it, the steel industry, follows numerous others, in which Northern England especially has been crucified by the tories.

If you want to blame anyone for the demise of the Steel Industry, you need to be pointing the finger at China.
Their steel industry is colossal compared to ours and it is they who are controlling the price of steel, something that we cant compete with.
The question is whether Steel should be "protected" and FWIW, even if we had never joined or, have left the EU, this situation would be exactly the same.

Who knows what would have happened without our EEC participation. “No one”
Of course the Chinese market is super powerful, no argument there, should we have stopped producing our cars because of the USA dominating the world, our steel, coal, National Health service, etc should have been protected at all costs by this Tory government.
As an aside the French are still producing steel and exporting millions of tonnes of it, perhaps because of the Chinese only a 3% share of the market, but nevertheless it employs French people.

Interesting citing of the motor industry.
Although there is still significant production of motor vehicles in the UK, how many are produced by British owned companies ?

| Worst PM until her successor! Tories going for a hat-trick of worst ever PMs!
Mind you selfie-Rory could be a dark-horse (and he seems like he's not a bad as the utter dross of other contestants).

Look at his voting record; a few earnest videos and a weird offer to meet in Kew Gardens won't expunge the fact that he's just another in a long line of ba$tards - the major difference between him and the rest is that he's not grandstanding about crashing out of the EU to woo back the Farage fan club.

The one sure thing is that if Parliament still cant agree to May's deal (or something very close to it) and they remain steadfast in not agreeing to "no deal", we will be left begging for yet another extension.
Corbyn's dream of another General Election may still not solve the Brexit stalemate.
Right now, a general election could produce the mother of all hung Parliaments, with neither the Tories or Labour anywhere close to an overall majority and we could also have the worst case scenario of some Brexit Party MP's.
Half of the country is already lurching to the right and we are indeed in dangerous times.
Farage is already cosying up to Far Right groups in other EU nations, as well as having discussions with White Supremacists in The US and still, people who say "I'm nor racist" cant get enough of him and his ilk.
