Why does anyone smoke then?

Same reason as anyone does anything risky, like sport or driving fast or jumping from planes or whatever: it's enjoyable.

here here, hope the OP is successful.
Though as an ex-smoker, I still like the smell of other people's cigarettes. Strange, I know.
As for giving up, it's easy. I've done it four times now. Though the last snout would have been about 9 years ago.

I stopped using skycigs over 6months ago after using them for a year. Not sure if they've improved since with the launch of their new range. The batteries only lasted 1-5months. Also when buying the packs of 5 cartridges it was guaranteed that one would be broken or leaking. I even got a pack where 3 were totally empty. A friend of mine moved on to Nicolites that you can get in shops and online. He said they were better and didn't leak.
I moved to the bigger vaping kind from liberty flights. A bit more fiddly and they require cleaning. But you can monitor your nicotine intake with them.

Got to agree the batteries dont last long 2/3 hours most. But did you know you can top up the cartomizers yourself once empty .Done two of my empty ones with bubble gum e-liquid and they work great, also been doing some research and the Nicolites you mentioned actualy fit on the skycig battery .Plus got e-lite cig too and i topped that up with my bubble gum e-liquid and thats fine too
Will be saving loads of money now i know you can top up the cartomizers yourself without ordering new ones all the time.
And by the way on my 9th day without smoking im myself ive got this far

With the batteries i meant they stop working totally within 1-5months. I wasn't sure how far you'd gone with the vaping adventure, so didn't want to get too technical. I did read someone asking about that topping up the cigarette type cartridges and everyone responded negatively to it with skycigs ones. I still have all the kit, so i might try it out next time. The larger kit does have a lot more battery life, which last days and can be charged and used at the same time.
Well done, everyone says it's the second week that counts, but i found it was exactly the same feeling two weeks later as the first day.

Keep going if you can, one relapse at this stage puts you back to square one in my experience. I was a smoker from the age of fourteen to thirty one and tried to quit hundreds of times until it just happened. Still think about it now sometimes and have had the odd lapse usually when drunk or in the early days after an argument with my wife (strange I know) but only smoke half a fag every couple of years now and they taste disgusting but there's still something there. I reckon its about twelve months minimum before you can have any kind of relapse without risking becoming a full time smoker again - just my experience. Good luck a new world opens up when you quit smoking.

This is where hypnotherapy could help.
From rlthis siterl"Hypnotherapy works by putting you in a deep, relaxed state where your mind is more open to suggestion. At this point your hypnotherapist will look to change your thought patterns by making suggestions such as 'I do not want a cigarette' or 'I am repelled by the smell of cigarette smoke'. For many people, just one session is enough to quit smoking however some may benefit from a follow-up session."[/i
As I said earlier, I walked in to my hypnotherapy treatment a smoker, and walked out an hour later a non-smoker. I barely had a single craving after the session and giving up was easier than any of the other methods I'd previously tried. It does also say that"Some people find hypnotherapy alone is enough to break the habit, while others prefer to combine it with NRT or medication to tackle both the physical and mental addiction together."[/i
So you could still use your e-cig alongside the hypnotherapy (though you might find you don't need to). Sorry if I seem a bit 'religious' with my harping on about hypnosis, but I can't overstate just how effective it was for me.
