| Quote Durham Giant="Durham Giant"Music star Morrissey, a long-time critic of Baroness Thatcher, today berated her as 'barbaric' and 'without an atom of humanity'.
He claimed she was 'charged by negativity' and said she 'closed' rather than opened the doors for women as the first female PM.

| Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"I disagree. She actually introduced benefits during her period in power and the right to buy was genius: it enabled people who had lived in their council houses for yonks to actually own what they had almost paid for anyway in rent at a further discount price. The take up was substantial. People take pride in what they own.'"
Not to make it personal but you really are the original Thatchers child. Had you been a child in 1930's Berlin what would your future be now?
Apologist for Hitler?

I think people were just celebrating the end of the war and the fact that they had survived.
What does Thatcher's death mean really?

| Do you think there may be any fall out after her funeral? Given the squeeze on families up and down the country could divisions resurface and civil unrest ensue? I've a sneaky feeling this may occur and Mrs Thatcher's death could be the trigger.

| I was interested to read today that the British people's wealth is now its highest ever. Perhaps one of the better legacies of Mrs Thatcher?

| The question is do you believe in a society where the State serves the people or one where the individual serves the State?
Do you believe in a society based on fairness and justice - where the individual is able to enjoy the fruits of his labour and talent - or one based on envy and slavery - where the State exploits the individual by stealing the fruits of his labour (egged on by its supporters who are filled with envy and jealousy of those people more successful and thus want to "get the rich") through the threat of force in order to distribute it to its cronies?
Do you believe in a society governed by its elected representatives or by an unelected minority group led by a Stalinist megalomaniac?
Do you believe in a society whereby people think about their duties and how they can help others, or one where people think only of their rights and how they can take from others?
Do you believe in a society where the individual takes responsibility for helping his family, neighbours and fellow citizens or a walk-on-by society where people ignore those around them because it is the State's job to do something about it?
Do you believe in a society based on reaction rather than progress - a society that sticks with outdated, dying and massive loss-making industries because it is what we are used to, or one which moves forward with the times and consequences of the modern globalised world? Presumably if you prefer the former you would also have been amongst the many people in the 19th century who protested against the move from an agricultural to industrial society.
Do you believe in a world where totalitarian nations such as Argentina, Iraq and the Soviet Union are able to invade and impose their rule on their neighbours, or do you believe in a world where the peoples of the Falkland Islands, Eastern Europe and Kuwait are free to choose their own governments and ways of living?

Have you not noticed that we have not had to beg the IMF for a bailout since 1979? Or that bodies are buried now or that people work the full 5 days or that power cuts are a rarity? Or that even the "very poor" are able to afford TVs, cars, smart-phones, 3 meals a day, computer game consoles, holidays, clothes etc?

I believe in a world where the young are not resentful and envious of older people and one where the young individual uses their enegies, like their forefathers did, to build a better country for all rather than feeling hard done too like a latter day supporter of Scargill.

People always resort to Hitler when they can't think up a coherent argument.
Or when they want to make themselves look a complete t!t.

I think there will be very tight security around Thatcher's funeral.

Power cuts are coming though.
