So why don't Labour simple campaign as a remain party and stop the idea that they are anything else?
The idea that EU membership somehow protects you from a recession is not true and has been proved numerous times to be a false perception.
Labour's spending plans are not credible - £1.2tn maybe a bit over the top but they will not be far off

| It's clear to see that the Conservatives have gone with the old "you think we're bad? Look at what those guys are doing!" approach to their campaign.

Probably partly because the leader isn't pro-EU and partly because the party does fear losing leave voters like the Tories have lost remain voters.
Quote: Sal Paradise "The idea that EU membership somehow protects you from a recession is not true and has been proved numerous times to be a false perception.'" Nobody has said this apart from you in an effort to create a straw man.
Being affected by a global downturn is in any event totally different to deciding to undermine your key trading arrangements thus precipitating a recession.

What are your thoughts on the Tory spending plans. How much do they come to, can you give us a figure as they've been throwing huge amounts around recently in an effort to win over voters?

General Election: Claims on Labour spending should be viewed with caution
The costings splashed across Sunday's newspapers are not from Labour's manifesto because it has yet to be published.

| Anybody fancy a prediction/guess at the result a month out from the poll?
I’m going to say Conservative majority of 35.

Hung parliament. Conservatives making up a government with whoever is desperate enough to play their stupid games. And the circus will roll on, and on, and on.

Just for balance, where is the ecconomy now, compared to when the Tories took office ?
Slashing and burning public services to provide tax cut's for those who are already well off is just morally corrupt.
I'm sure that you will remember Mrs May trying to justify huge cuts in front line policing and that we didn't require as many policemen, and yet now, they are embarking on the largest recruitment drive in history and for Boris to achieve these numbers, especially taking account of natural wastage, there would need to be 500,000 applicants - yeah, we're in great shape

There is no guarantee we will not be in recession if we stay in the EU - like it or not we voted to leave so what do the politicians do - just ignore the vote?
The Tories spending seems reasonable - they have to do something, continued austerity is not a vote winner but their numbers are at least believable - £250bn on a green initiative is quite simply lunacy.

The politicians shouldn't just ignore the vote but, when such stanch Tory remainers such as yourself, acknowledge that we could indeed be heading for a Brexit triggered recession, perhaps there is a stronger case than ever for asking whether, people would like to be worse off but, out of the EU or remain as they are and remain ?
At least we know that Farage and Boris have something in common, they are both compulsive liars.
No public election pact but, Farage has already broken his promise to "contest every seat" - I wonder what he will be doing after the election.
Mmm interesting ??
He has a habit of standing down after every election so, probably a nice cushy job in Boris's back office - no nepotism here though

There is no indication that the public view has changed - I would agree with another vote if it were no deal against remain and everything was out in the open.
All politicians are liars and that includes Corbyn and McDonald. You know as soon as they open their lips they are tells lies. When was the last time you ever heard a politician answer a question directly
Farage is an odious individual - he now realises that standing against the Tories leaves the backdoor open and if it closes behind him it will not open in his lifetime.

| Donald Trump told Farage and Johnson not to stand against each other, today they confirmed they will follow Trump’s orders.
Vote conservative, get a Donald Trump puppet, this means, lower food standards, lower welfare standard, chlorinated chicken, and more privatised healthcare.
