| Quote: Doom&Gloom Merchant "Can't really blame a global recession on Labour.
Good to see the Tories making the people who caused the recession pay for it though. The poorest and most vulnerable in our society, rightly paying for their actions in the global markets via austerity. That'll show em.'"
You can't blame for anything - none of it was their fault they could not have done anything more?
This is the party whose leader congratulated the banks on doing such a good job - you need a reality check.

Noooo, it's poor peoples fault - they're paying for their silly mistakes.

| If the British political system worked as it is SUPPOSED TO I'd be more than willing to make Corbyn favourite as the next leader of the country. His politics are at least within the same solar system as the Common Man's (barring the usual aspirational wannabees and weirdos).
But if the role of Prime Minister ever carried much clout it leaked away a long, long time ago.
I certainly don't think the position has wielded much authority internationally since the humiliating climb-down on Suez.
Political leaders these days are little more than well-paid fall guys. Their job is to divert the public's attention away from the true source of power (big business, finance, defence, drug-trafficking etc.). How long they last in the job really does depend on how well they manage to insulate their benefactors from harmful legislation (or prosecution). Like a sponge they soak up enmity until reaching a point of super-saturation whereupon their masters cut them loose in favour of a new shiny object which will distract the masses.
In the (incredibly rare) event that one of them decides to develop a mind of his own then there are a whole suite of tools designed to remind him of the fragility of his position.
Once out of office they are immediately isolated from prying investigation and quietly go about enjoying the rich rewards they earned from selling their souls.
The whole system is broken from top to bottom.

I'd say it was working exactly as designed to. There's nothing broken about it.

| So.... Corbyn has rompt to victory with nearly 60% of the vote, with a 75% turn out.

| I suspect Cameron and his gang will be enjoying their beer tonight. Jobs secured for the next 10 years
Both Tom and Jerry's speeches were shocking at the conference. 'Comrades and movement', what sort of terminology is that in 2015!

What, you continuing to post nonsense based on ignorance and dogma.
If I were you I would consider checking to see if there is a case against the education authority or maybe others for not teaching you how to think etc.
There are people around who care, probably much to your disappointment, but they can help you.

You seriously think the re-emergence of "Keep the red flag flying" is going to endear Corbyn/Labour to the electorate? seriously you are another that needs a reality check. The emergence of McClusky on the stage at the victory parade should have been something Corbyn should have been looking to avoid. Re-nationalisation and increased union powers - who is seriously going to vote for that?

| It makes the forthcoming period of politics interesting if just for farcical reasons. Astonishing what has happened.
Its great for the country that the Tories can draw up a long term plan for the country whilst Tom and Jerry spend each Sat attending demonstrations in Hyde Park dressed in Donkey Jackets.

Given that absolute wages have plummeted in this country over the past few decades and the fact that unionised labour is consistently better paid than non-unionised - more than you might think.
