Quote: King Street Cat "And yet you'll bash Angela Rayner for travelling first class on trains. The funny thing is a first class ticket, if booked in advance, can be cheaper than buying standard class on the day. I've done it myself.'"

It can be but I doubt Ms Rayner takes that opportunity.

Don't forget there are often a huge group of public employees, journalists and other business people who go on these trips.

I suppose the challenge is - is it better to have your own plane and the prestige of that against the cost of hiring private planes whenever you need them. Finding sufficient seats on a normal flight would be a significant challenge no doubt.

The room they changed wasn’t fit for purpose but the one they used for all the pandemic announcements appeared to work adequately. It was a typical Johnson vanity project based on the US system, just like the two planes.

It reminds me of that episode of Father Ted "Kicking Bishop Brennan up the arris"

Just like Ted from that episode Boris & chums just flat out deny anything is untowards and a supine media lick the boot and let them get away with it.

Its almost as if spending someone elses money or "spaffing it up the wall" is in his DNA.

‘It is sad to see the PM and his office fall so far below the standards of competence the country deserves’ according to Dominic Cummings.

Sad but hardly difficult to predict, Dom. Weird how he’s suddenly worried about BJ’s integrity now the claims are about him (DC). Still, whatever it takes...

I really do hope that it's true when people said, "Cummings knows where the bodies are buried".

It's amazing that all of the "dodgy" Tory ministers and ex PM are supposedly so full of integrity.
I dont think that they know the meaning of the word.

The latest issue surrounding the enquiry that was allegedly halted by the PM as it would have implicated some of Carrie's friends is quite incredible.
The lunatics really have taken over the asylum and it seems that Boris is happy to allow the "inmates" to do as they please.
Lying, cheating, lining their own pockets and those of their friends and family.
A complete lack of any moral compass d040.gif

I'm surprised that you drink "red" wine icon_biggrin.gif

For someone that tries to come across as the font of all knowledge you do an awful lot of guessing squire.
Just to be clear I haven't touched a drop since August 2019 when at deaths door in Barnsley General, but prior to that I've had my fair share thanks for asking as there's a few on the Wakey board will testify, although I got to admit listening to the Archers every night as you do would turn anybody to drink. Happy New Year icon_cheers.gif

A little bit cranky there squire, I was merely commenting on the fact that you are now tea total which is something you have referenced in previous posts without stating that you drank a lot before that. I guess if you nearly died at least you learned a valuable lesson and remember I do not know you or anything about your past other than what you like to tell us in your so insightful posts.
The Archers how quaint probably better suited to you to listen to with your bedtime cocoa.

icon_biggrin.gifOH: Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have replied to your boring post, you obviously seek inspiration from the Archers, I have only referenced the fact that I'm tee total on one occasion, not in previous posts as that would imply I impart this information on a regular basis, other than your usual tendency to guess things as per, I'm not sure why you think my illness had anything to do with drink, fwiw it was bi lateral pneumonia and heart problems and I'm also quite shocked that you admit to not knowing me or anything about my past as I've frequently had the misfortune to listen to your usual diatribe regarding my political views, one last thing along with your new found words Deffifel and cranky which presumably you think gives you and edge, is your assumption that I drink cocoa another guess icon_lol.gif
See PM.
