Maybe you would also like to study the Marshall plan that got Europe and Germany back on its feet after the Second World War. So in view of the help Germany has had since the Second World War, not too much to ask is for them to pay a bit more into the kitty.

This sums up the rabid leaver to a tee, egged on by brazen liars such as Farage, Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Banks and co, who were quite happy to appear on any media outlet that would have them (and they all did, often) spouting untruths, exaggerations and outright xenophobic nonsense, to appeal to the baser instincts of the aggrieved man in the street - convincing them that the source of all the frustrations and disappointment in their lives, was the EU.

We are in a very different place now - the lies have been stripped away, reality has bitten, and leavers are getting nothing like what they were promised, and they never will; nobody "won."
