funny how the British cyclists admission that he cheated in the first round of the team race has been largely ignored by the same media that hounded the badminton players out of the competition.

He didn't cheat. He was probably guilty of gamesmanship but that's all. He broke no rules, although after these Games I would imagine the international cycling body will clarify the rules to make sure only something like mechanical failure is allowed for a restart!

Somebody should have schooled him in the art of answering media questions though before they let him loose as had the rules been more specific, that admission could have resulted in the gold being lost, which would have been a travesty.

there is no such thing as the "Olympic Spirit" find it in the UIC handbook and I'll admit it's existance, each team is allowed a restart in the event of a "malfunction" him getting a wobble because of handle bearings is a "malfunction".
