| Genuine question, haven't been able to find the answer anywhere: In volleyball (not the beach variety) why does one member of each team wear a different kit from the rest?

Everyone knows that! It's the Libero.
In 1998 the libero player was introduced internationally, the term meaning free in Italian is pronounced LEE-beh-ro (rather than lih-BEAR-oh); the NCAA introduced the libero in 2002. The libero is a player specialized in defensive skills: the libero must wear a contrasting jersey color from his or her teammates and cannot block or attack the ball when it is entirely above net height. When the ball is not in play, the libero can replace any back-row player, without prior notice to the officials. This replacement does not count against the substitution limit each team is allowed per set, although the libero may be replaced only by the player whom they replaced. The libero may function as a setter only under certain restrictions. If she/he makes an overhand set, she/he must be standing behind (and not stepping on) the 3-meter line; otherwise, the ball cannot be attacked above the net in front of the 3-meter line. An underhand pass is allowed from any part of the court.
The libero is, generally, the most skilled defensive player on the team. There is also a libero tracking sheet, where the referees or officiating team must keep track of who the libero subs in and out for. There may only be one libero per set (game), although there may be a different libero in the beginning of any new set (game).
Furthermore, a libero is not allowed to serve, according to international rules, with the exception of the NCAA women's volleyball games, where a 2004 rule change allows the libero to serve, but only in a specific rotation. That is, the libero can only serve for one person, not for all of the people for whom she goes in. That rule change was also applied to high school play soon after.
Knew all that off the top of my head.

| Do anti-depressants make you chuffed?
Why over the last 10 years has the 'Z' list been turned into the 'A' list of celebrities, for instance look at TOWIE, a camera crew following a group of thick vain s living off mummy and daddies purse strings do feck all but slag each other off and basically do everyday stuff like eat, drink and go shopping yet they are publicised in some parts of the media as genuine celebrities, yet if the likes of Christopher Nolan or Ridley Scott walked through a local shopping centre nobody would bat an eye lid (no pun intended).

Right. Got that - thanks a lot.
I'll have to bookmark your answer though, about all I'm likely to remember is libero.

| Why, when people want to leave the motorway (specifically the m60 at 15 or 1icon_cool.gif do they think it's perfectly acceptable to barrel up the middle lane past everyone queueing to exit then pull in and slow to a virtual stop in the inside lane as they can't get in?

Maybe seeing the camera makes them think to check their speedo and then they realise they are breaking the limit and need to slow down?

| Rugby question
Re Salary Cap
If a player is contracted at club A and club B want to buy him for say 100k, does all the money go to the club? If money does go to a player does that money count towards the salary cap and lastly is the salary cap just for playing staff or are coaches also on the cap?

| Something which I often thought about when I was a postie.....
How exactly is the post delivered by Royal Mail on Oxford Street? There must be tonnes of it. It won't fit in a few pouches for a few postmen to whizz through the streets, you can't push one of those big trolleys up Oxford Street because of the crowds, likewise with a van there's nowhere to park.
That's the only question I've ever wanted to ask, my life will be complete when I know the answer.
