I remember a good few years ago a landslide in the news in Belize.
There was pictures of Royal Marines being flown in from HMS Ocean to help dig out the locals, then out the blue I see my friend, himself in the Marines.
So a couple of months go by and he gets home and I bring it up and tell him how impressed I am with him.

He then proceeds to tell me it was all for show, they were flown in with the camera crew, spent 20 minutes digging for the camera and then flown back to the ship.

Some ideologies are not compatible with western values, and those very rights, and values that people have fought to obtain, and then protect are being slowly taken away by those in power in the name of national security, and also being given up by people because of their fear and unwillingness to see the truth that's in front of them.
I'm all for cultural integration, but when an ideology seeks to oppress the very rights we've fought for for centuries, then that ideology must be rejected, and eradicated.

As for what happens next, well we've seen this all before. Military intervention in the Middle East has NEVER worked, but no doubt we'll see the campaign turned up to 11, and the military industrial complex cycle of violence will continue. Unfortunately, whenever you use violence to achieve anything then usually the opposite of what you were hoping to achieve is the result (this goes for both sides). I mean, how can any rational person think that bombing the 5hit out of a country, and killing thousands of it's people is going to make the surviving families, and friends of those same people be in anyway grateful, or accepting of you? It's like raping someone, and expecting them to marry you.

You know, whether I agree with Flatstanley or not the behaviour of the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of posters in this thread is nothing short of disgusting. If a dozen posters queued up to question the mental condition of a member in any other thread it would take me a week to go through all the complaints. In case you weren't paying attention there have been a record number of national campaigns this year to raise awareness of the millions of Britons who suffer mental health issues. Almost all do so in silence and isolation because they are afraid they will be stigmatised and socially ostracised.

Why don't you just don a bunch of pillowcases, drag the guy by his ankles a mile or two roped to the back of a pickup and then leave him strung up twitching and convulsing from a tree - because the world needs one less "nut" like it needs one less n*gger/Jew/queer etc. Right?
