I think that's a bit over the top. Spitting and sanctions for it have been in the news this week. TB has become an issue in the UK again - and primarily among immigrant communities (although they also tend to live in poverty and poor conditions). The only thing that I found odd / objectionable was the assertion that immigrants spit "non-stop."

I have to have regular chest xrays because the drugs I am on raise the risk of TB for me and I have to tell my GP immediately if I have come into contact with anyone with TB.
