| Can't you get a train that stops at Watford, a lot quicker to Ruislip then?

| Quote: Big Graeme "Neither, there will be a sign with a big C on it, on most entrances to the zone there will be one on each side of the road, that is the zone boundary.
Were you at the travel inn on Euston Road? That is about the only dodgy turn I know around there.'"
I was at Kings Cross Royal Scot the address given is 100 Kings Cross Road, the road in question with the congestion charge on it was called Vernon Rise, I turned into this from the A501 and then did an immediate left into the hotel car park

Hull train goes into KX not Euston. I don't think its very easy unless I am forgetting a suitable cross-Herts route.

The zone starts on the road right outside that hotel and Vernon rise is inside the zone.

The tube does still go from KX to Euston.

It'd be quicker to walk.
So come into KX, get to Euston, go to Watford, come back to Ruislip. Not sure that's more convernient.

| According to my Tube app, the journey on the Metropolitan line is 13 stations, no changes, est.time 36 mins. I would have thought by London standards that's like a Star trek beam-up? What's the problem?

| Apologies if the answer to my question is in this thread somewhere....just don't feel like reading 12 pages in case it's not!
I'm visiting London next week, Monday to Thursday and staying at The Bermondsey Square Hotel on Tower Bridge road. I'd like a bit of advice on the best way to get there from Kings Cross and also what is the best sort of ticket to get allowing myself and my 15 year old to travel around over the days we are in London. Ideally if there's some sort of pass we could get that would be great.
Thanks

Circle Line to Mansion House.
Depends how much you are travelling about for your ticket. If you aren't making many journeys, get an Oyster card for yourself from the machines at Kings X Underground and buy your son a Child Travelcard each day. If you are making plenty of journeys, avoid faffing with an Oyster and just buy yourself a Travelcard each day.

But i'd get off at Queensway and cross the road outside. The app tells you, the paper map doesn't, for the layman the app is better.'"
After reading this, I downloaded the London Transport Planner app (I assume that's the one you're talking about?) ahead of the cup final. It seems to disagree with google maps
For example, going from Osterley Park Hotel (TW7 5NA) to Wembley Stadium at 11am.
1 hour 16 mins journey according to rlgoogle mapsrl - H91 bus to Gunnersbury, train to Wembley Central (change at Wilsden Junction). It then says to get a bus to the stadium but I'm guessing it's walking distance.
According to the app it takes 1 hour 34mins - Walk to Syon Rail Station, train to Wembley Park (changing at Vauxhall Underground then Green Park then Finchley)
I'm not sure which to trust now. Is this because the app knows about upcoming engineering works, or does it not have as much information at its disposal as google?

Guessing something being walking distance when the directions are telling you to catch a bus COULD be a big mistake.
Personally because it's a Cup Final at Wembley I'd forget about using the bus and just rely on the tube.

| For those who helped me with the congestion charge thing, I still have not received anything from TfL so fingers crossed I'm in the clear now and I was told I would hear within seven days.
