Not certain about Rwanda being the solution to the problem, I merely stated that EU are paying millions to the Turkish government to house Illegal immigrants in camps. I have 2 friends that are going through an extremely expensive process in bringing family members to the uk. They are going down the official route. The process has taken 3 years, one successful outcome so far. The other still ongoing , probably be easier and cheaper to go to France and hitch a lift on the frequent dinghy service. Apparently major delays to official applicants are due to the thousands of illegal immigrants who have to be processed first. Perhaps you may have the answer to the problem?

I suggest the problem is illegal immigrants , doesn’t really matter in which part of the country they are placed. A decent hotel in York is full of them, I can fully understand the rush to get out of France, when the reward is a place in one of the countries nicest cities.
