Look, I asked you a very simple question. Why would the moon look upside down to a person in Australia? You clearly have no idea. Your original thought (and I apologize to real thoughts everywhere for my loose use of the term) was to respond by quoting a random word: "Perspective". However, you can take it as read that we all understand what perspective is and what it does.

What you need to do is explain in basic simple terms how this hitherto unknown-to-man aspect of "perspective" can invert the apparent image of the same object viewed by two different people stood on the alleged same plane.

You can't. The best you can come up with is links to yet more interminable videos of people using software apparently manipulated and altered until it shows what they want it to show!

Is the position that you simply don't know why it does that? Or that you believe there must be a reason but it is too complicated for you to explain the basics of in simple terms? Or what?

As i said before, never mind linking to video after video of manipulated pseudo-scientific nonsense, you need to just tell us the basic plausible explanation - "WHY DOES THE MOON LOOK UPSIDE DOWN TO A PERSON IN AUSTRALIA".

You can only fall back on the delusion of others who have the ability to make pseudo-scientific videos based on very dodgy science or none at all - whilst at the same time REJECTING the evidence of literally millions of genuine factual space videos, from many decades, which have no purpose but to show the world what was to be seen - yet those you denounce as a million "fakes".

I still can't make up my mind if you are trolling or a genuine nutter, but my object in responding has been to ensure nobody else is taken in by this sort of utter bull. I'm really not interested in getting involved in some half-assed debate with one of the Internet's legion of oxygen-stealers.

I mean, technically speaking I suppose you could say that the earth is flat observed from higher dimensions where things get all weird.

But you don't need to be strapped into the Apollo command module to see the earth's curvature. It's noticeable looking out the window at 40,000ft. I've seen it many times on long distance flights to and from South Africa.

Vis a vis photographs - it's impossible to arrive at any worthwhile conclusions on the straightness or curvature of this or that object without knowing quite a few details about the lens, diameter, focal length, sensor etc etc. And even then - photographs are easy to fake. I could straighten the earth's curvature in photoshop in sixty seconds. I could invert it completely in the same amount of time.

On the question of NASA - whatever civilian oversight in might have possessed (if any) certainly ended with the Challenger disaster when the entire organisation became an adjunct to the military and Reagan's Star Wars program. Whilst I don't doubt that it is largely staffed by honest and conscientious staff today - all of them know who signs their pay-cheques and can be relied upon to toe the line.

Does this mean I think they are all engaged in a ruse to disguise the fact that we are living on Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" - no.

Is one of the phases of the Moon inversion?

Your flat Earth:

- does it spin?
- are all places on one surface or are some on the "bottom"?
- what shape is it when viewed from "above"?

I started watching a vid on YT last night called something like '200 the reasons the Earth is flat'.

I managed to watch until 11/12ish. I can't believe some people out there devote so much time and energy on it. Any scientific reasoning to counter their 'evidence' is rebuked by saying it's a conspiracy. Brilliant.
