Blood consists of three cellular components, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. When you donate blood it is processed and for transfusion the white cells are removed as these are the only ‘complete cells’ with DNA. Red Blood cells (Plasma) do not contain DNA so they can carry more oxygen. Whole blood is rarely transfused. If it is, the body’s immune system will detect the foreign DNA and attack the white cells.

To get my own back, i make her go with me into 10 different pubs without buying a drink, i then go back to the first pub and buy myself a pint

"I only eat because I'm depressed, and being fat is depressing"
to be honest, far too much emphasis is placed on weight, at both ends of the issue, I fluctuate between 11.5 and 10.5 stone, no matter what I eat/drink or do, it's just what I am, likewise some people are heavy.
people should focus more on health than weight, imho.

True. I've been under 10 stone once in my adult life, I was just diagnosed and having Gold Injections which kept my arthritis at bay but made me lose a lot of weight. All people could say to me was how ill I looked being thinner and how gaunt it made me look.
Now I've gone the other way as I've been on steriods for 12 years which doesn't help matters and gives you a "moon" face. As long as you have no health problems due to your size and you're happy in yourself it shouldn't matter.

Optimism?
Optimism; a disposition or tendency to look on the more favorable side of events or conditions and to expect the most favorable outcome.
Pessimism; A tendency to stress the negative or unfavorable or to take the gloomiest possible view.
We’ve three good years, we’ve won something each year, are we the only club to do so?
We’ve had three years of the ‘wolfs’. I accept that next to the mighty Wigan’s record it’s not great, but for us lesser beings than you it’s been fantastic. I hope that one day I may be able to move out of the shadow your(TheSurgeon’s) personal achievements have cast over my life. Oh no sorry, that wouldn’t be too difficult, as your greatest achievement in your whole life has been to post, stupid banal unintelligent garbage. I can already do that, even better than you.
What do you even mean? Explain what that stupid statement means.

Quote: Mintball "There was a three-part comic documentary done by Eddie Izzard some years ago, [iMongrel Nation[/i, looking at the ethnic origins of the British.
Anyway, one of the segments had him going to Leicester University (IIRC) to learn to speak a little Old English. He then visited rural Holland and went in search of a farmer to ask to buy a cow from – using Old English. And that was an interesting way to show the links between English and Dutch.'"
Was the cow a fri(e)sian? And was he in Friesland? If so, he wasn't in Holland and the farmer was probably speaking Frisian, not Dutch. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friesland
