So once again Johnson is late to the party in respect of the wearing of face masks. We were told several weeks ago that masks were not necessary because they had little impact despite what other countries had found except the USA and Brazil but now he is looking to make them mandatory.

I think the government thought as lockdown was eased it would quickly return to normal - it hasn't so they are trying everything they can to get people spending in the high street. The problem is it is the older people who are worried and they are not the one's who spend. Young people spend and they don't care - they will simply buy on line.

I have consistently said the governments handling of the Covid 19 has been a shambles. The idea that relaxing the lockdown would be like the end of war simply hasn't happened - town centres are as flat as anything. Something needs to be done to stimulate activity in the hospitality sector. I quite like the idea tbh.
