I genuinely want to know why you continue to believe in Boris and this government despite the fact that they continue to lie to you. We have examples with Brexit, he lied to those in Northern Ireland, he lied to the fishing industry and farmers. We now face shortages of goods, medicines and chemicals because he will not allow drivers from the EU to work in the U.K.. He quotes taking back control but is quite happy to include free movement in any new trade deal if asked. We now have the situation with Australia where we have dropped previously agreed green policies. If they were so certain that this would have little impact why do it clandestinely. We also caved into the Australians demand for meat products to be sent to the U.K. from day one rather than the three years we suggested. We are no longer Great, I am sorry but with Boris we are becoming even more irrelevant on the world stage because all countries know that to get a trade deal we will do anything.
He made the pandemic in the U.K. worse resulting in the unnecessary deaths of many thousands of U.K. citizens, he sent them back to care homes untested and what did he say let the bodies stack up or they are most likely to be over 80 so they’ve had a good innings. We did a full pandemic preparation test in 2016, the results of which they won’t publish but still we were ill prepared with PPE and Ventilators. He boasted about shaking hands with patients who may have Covid how do you think the general public would respond they would carry on doing the same. The problem is he knew that none of those he was with had Covid so he was in no danger.
We have probably one of the most inept (being generous)governments awarding contract to their friends and donors, this is despite the fact that what some provided were not of an acceptable standard. The PM himself has been under several investigations so what does he do but appoint an old Bullingdon mate to oversee his actions.
I know this is sadly only part of the transgressions but why do you keep accepting his lies and are willing to pay through your taxes and still vote for him and his government.
Please don’t give me they are all the same because I cannot remember any party operating like this one.

Very good but still not a defence of why you should vote for this government or is that all you have got. I have given you some of my reasons why I don’t so why don’t you try to come up with some of your own why you do rather than pointless emojis or puerile one liners

Have you tried to actually use your brain and think of a reason you support them or is it too hard for you to come up with any.

Have you actually tried to use your brain, perhaps then you might realise that most people don't share your obsession and probably don't give a flying one anyway, just saying like.

It is a genuine question that I struggle to understand why people still accept the lies and dishonesty. It sounds like you are a none voter who cares nothing for the fact that people should be interested because after all what they do affects everybody and I think the reasons I have given should worry most but maybe not you.

The reason was that Bojo was trusted more than Corbyn, which is a major worry.
Even now, if there was another election the same choice for the electorate, Bojo would win at a canter.

Those at the top of the Labour party have so much to answer for.
First, we had the wrong Miliband and then the hard left (momentum) too over and we got Corbyn and this is why people voted in such huge numbers for Bojo. Oh yeah, lets not mention Brexit, where Labour made a right royal mess of their policy - trying to back both horses in a 2 horse race.
Dont get me wrong, I cant wait to see the back of the lying, unprincipled leader that we currently have but, Labour have only themselves to blame.

Corbyn did alright in 2017. If they'd have gone with same Brexit policy in 2019 as they did in 2017, they'd have won easily. Something like 3/4s of marginal Labour seats in2019 voted to leave, but they decided to go against their original policy and push for a 2nd vote.
. Then after losing the election because they moved closer to remain, they've elected a leader even closer to remain, but without the popular radical policies that saw them make progress in 2017.
I'm not saying I agree with some of those policies or praising the people involved, but the fact is they were popular. Now they've alienated themselves from their core vote who voted to leave, and the other Labour supporters who were attracted to their 2017 policies.
They've tried to please everyone, but have ended up pleasing nobody.

I'm not sure how you can draw any conclusion that I am a non voter from what I have posted, my brother and I were born and brought up in Stanley as were my Mum and dad along with my grandparents, my dad has just recently retired from the police Force as where my brother is still employed in the force, I'm a self employed electrician who puts his work and young family before politics as, as far as I'm concerned they are more important to me and as being of the younger generation I don't really understand politics at all as I've stated I have neither the time or inclination for the matter and if pressed would say that I only vote Labour out of loyalty to my family if I'm honest, all my family have voted Labour all their lives, due to unforeseen circumstances I did not vote in the last election but did vote Labour in the previous 2 elections for all the good it did, I'm just as passionate about this country and it's welfare as you are, more so given that I've still got most of my life in front of me and things being difficult regarding the living I do, so you really need to stop feeling sorry for yourself you really don't have a monopoly on your concerns over the country, I've noticed that you tend to target people that don't conform with your political views well fwiw I do agree to a point but far less fanatical than yourself, if your so concerned do something about it where it matters and that's not on here really, there's nothing else to say as to carry on would result in me stooping down to your level and I wasn't brought up like that, were done here Mr Pimpernel au revoir icon_wave.gif
