Well, we seem to have a new public enemy no 1 - step forward former BBC journalist Martin Bashir.
Is he really the only journo to tell some porky's to gain some kind of scoop.

Bloody hell, we've had phone hackers galore and yet this guy is now being blamed for all of the wrongs in the world.

Surely, Prince Charles sleeping with Camila before, during and after his marriage to Di was the biggest crime here and not some bloke using underhand tactics to set up an interview ?

The sheer brass neck of the tabloids who are now banging on about journalistic ethics!

The People’s Princess wanted to get her story out on record regards how she was shat on by the Royals. When Bashir came along with a platform for her, she jumped at it gleefully.

Hats off to Bashir and Diana.

Be honest if it had been Johnson telling those lies and forging documents when he was a journalist would you be so blasé about it? I think not.

It's also the fact that various BBC execs covered up what he did, not just Bashir's questionable tactics.

Well strangely enough, we know that this is exactly what Johnson did do, and was fired for doing, when he was a 'journalist'.
Rightly, the BBC's staff at the time have been held accountable for this. When will the see-no-evil supporters of Johnson ever hold him to the same standard?

Sorry but the BBC re-employed Bashir. They won't name the producer of the interview who probably colluded in the deception. The BBC enquiry was a cover up at best. Who exactly has been held accountable? The tea lady?

Bashir has left the BBC. What more do you want?

Her situation was not brought about by Bashir and whilst not condoning the forging of bank statements, there is absolutely no doubt that she wanted to be heard.
There are some strange parallels between Lady Di's situation and those of Meghan Markle and yet, so many people have pilloried Markle for being in the same extreme situation, albeit, as far as we know, Harry didn't enter his marriage with a mistress.
The Diana situation was caused totally by Charles not wanting to stop his relationship with his now wife, Camilla.
However, the press are utterly silent on this issue, how very, very strange ??

As for journalists using dodgy tactics, of course they do, every day of every week.

What I dont agree with is the way in which he is being slaughtered almost 25 years after her death and that her former husband, soon to be king ? is allowed off the hook.
