Summer holiday season is nearly upon us, so time for everyone to brag about where they are going this year! 
Where are you off to?
I'm looking at going to Dubai in September for a week - never been before so looking for any advice on where to go, where to avoid, what to do while there etc???

Portugal for three or four days in June on a maintenance visit and then I really have to organise something for our 30th wedding anniversary in September, or so she says anyway.
Personally I'd be happy with a day out to Hawes - she ain't going to stand for that though.

The Gold and Spice Souks are worth a visit. The Wild Wadi Water Park is a good day out with the added bonus of looking out on to the Burj-al-Arab hotel. The Mall of the Emirates dwarves anything we have in the UK, it even has an indoor ski slope, so it's either shopping heaven or a bit of a nightmare.

You'll struggle to get into Times Square unless you go into the area in the morning and stay.
Go to Central Park instead, great firework display at midnight and a fun run around the park as well if your feeling athletic !! Loads of music, dancing and a great atmosphere | | |
