I wouldn't call a 0.25% rise a "surge"
And I have children!

| FTSE 100 at 11 month high. Countries queuing up to enter trade deals with us, Boeing to create 1,000s of jobs here. Sooner we get out, sooner we can reap the economic benefits.

| Well so it's PM May , who'd have thunk or predicted that a month ago ?
Reasonably happy with that , she seems to be of the opinion of getting on with initiating Brexit ASAP , which is a good thing IMO , Dave's bottle out had put us in a poor position

May was always the likely PM. I recall at the start of the Brexit campaign the press reporting she was hedging her bets for the leadership by expressing on balance "in" view. She kept a low-profile during campaign. It was all to look loyal, despite her previous Euro scepticism. Establishment candidate who was always the shoe0in if Cameron failed or only narrowly won.

| I voted to remain in the EU. 2-3 weeks on I'm thinking I may have got it wrong. I'm liking the recent positivity.

| Yes, the sooner the whingers get over themselves, the sooner we can get on with what HAS to be done.
Please, please, let's be positive and stop talking ourselves down.

| I too am fed up of hearing people whining about what what might happen and how we should have a second referendum and how it's not legally binding and how the remainers are more superior than the leavers and how the 48% need to protest protest protest with their hand scrawled cardboard plaques. Let's just get on with the process the 52% voted for.

It's one thing to vote to take us all into an economic crisis. It's another thing to demand those who disagree with you stop expressing an opinion. But then, Ian Hislop has already expressed this better than I can.
