| Quote: wigan_rlfc "A570 Rainford bypass, large dual carriageway with wide cyclepaths seperated from the main carriageway on either side yet the lycra brigade (including Sir Brad himself) are usually found on the main road with the lorries and busses. I just don't get it.'"
Trouble with them cyclepaths is that they are covered in debris and glass all the way along. I rode down there once, and ended up with 2 punctures.
I just avoid that bypass now as its more trouble than its worth.

| Laughing at angry people, especially when you made them angry, is one of lifes pleasures and is guaranteed to make them even more angry because there is not insult or gesture or comeback left in their library of anger if you're just going to laugh at them even more.

Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full-frontal lobotomy

I can beat that. I once flew into Belfast City Airport and as we left and joined the queue of traffic on the M2, a bloke came cycling along the hard shoulder with a set of ladders on his shoulder and a bucket hanging from his handlebars. Apparently he was a regular sight each morning

Walk in front of me when I am driving along the pavement and you will

Seen that in Hull recently, poor sod could only manage about 100 yards and hour and was wobbling all over the place. Wonder if the police ever 'have a word' with them.
