So you'd have a sliding scale of crimes that qualify as "normal" all the way down to "throw away the book" ?

The guy in Wales who admits that he "probably" kidnapped and killed the five year old girl last year but is pleading temporary insanity - where would he be on this scale, is he "normal" ?

If this was a terrorist attack then the terrorists have pretty much given up, haven't they?

For me it just seems like a crazy, senseless attack on the streets of London. It's scary that there are people prepared to commit such acts of violence.

But as an act of *terrorism*, killing one man, when you've got the element of surprise, A CAR, and a stash of weapons is a pretty lame act of terrorism. If Osama was in hell he'd be disappointed at just how crap the latest terrorists are.

I don't think this has a thing to do with terrorism. I think it's just media sensationalism simply because they were said to have praised Allah after the murder.

What constitutes a terrorist attack then in your book? So far as I'm concerned, it is committing an act with the intent to terrorise. I'm quite sure the people witnessing this event were sufficiently terrified and in fear of being terrorised, don't you think?


Chances are then it was an act of Islamist terrorism. Islamists do tend to praise their god while committing acts of terrorism.
