As John Piper rightly argues, the kangaroo court and subsequent murder of Jesus was the greatest act of evil to ever occur on this planet. '"
What an utterly ludicrous proposition!
1. Jesus' dad sent him here to suffer precisely this pre-ordained fate. None of the players had a choice, the script was written by your god.
2. I could list a hundred far worse acts of evil within a minute, without even thinking about it.
The Holocaust?
The Great Chines famine? (45 MILLION est. dead)
The My Lai massacre?
Dunblane?
Gassing of the Kurds?
The Somme?
The 1099 siege of Jerusalem, where 70,000 inhabitants were all massacred in the name of Christ?
Quote: kirkstaller "What the BBC and their pink partners fail to grasp is that, to Christians, it is sheer blasphemy to compare this heinous crime to anything, '"
Er, basically was he not sentenced to death under the law of that particular land? Along with others?
Quote: kirkstaller "If not, can it be morally justified for Christian license-payers to refuse to pay up?'"
Ludicrous. There is loads of stuff on the BBC that I don't agree with or am against. The answer is - don't watch it. Anyway the licence fee is for having TV receiving equipment. It is not pay per view, you'd have to pay even if you never switched your telly on.
