Quote: Saddened! "Which version of Android does it have and have you tried updating it to the most recent for that phone? Some of the old versions of Android used to limit memory card size.
Another thing to try is putting another SD card in. SD cards are very breakable, particularly if used by girls.
You say it won't recognise the USB, how do you charge it?'"
The version is Gingerbread.XXJW4 which was upgraded via Kies just before christmas.
The USB socket works fine, what I really meant to say is that the storage settings list "SD Card" as unavailable, "USB storage" as unavailable and "System Storage" as 1.83 gb
I'm sure I swapped SD cards before but I'll give it another try tonight, I know its not the latest Galaxy S but its actually a nice handset to use but as mentioned previously the battery useage (mine has a new battery in it) is pathetic when you have it connected to Wi-Fi, I can barely get 24 hours on standby from it - since I've switched Wi-Fi off and literally use it for a few phone calls and texts then it will easily sit there for a week on standby inbetween charges.
