Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"Good luck with that, PES is awful.'"
No it isn't awful. End of.
Quote Saddened!Isn't that what real keepers do? '"
If you press triangle, the keeper will punch the ball regardless of the position he is in sometimes, if there is no one around the keeper and its a simple catch. It's broken.
Quote Saddened! The defending is fine on FIFA 12. They got the balance right and if you are good at it, you can defend well.'"
No it isn't, defenders run around like headless chickens sometimes, especially when the momentum mechanic comes into play, players just randomly stop marking their men. Rubbish.
Quote Saddened! What are you playing it on? I can honestly say I've never seen any of this on the Xbox. Graphical glitches are very rare and the only ones I can remember seeing are to do with the collision engine when players fall on each other and spasming together.'"
No thats not what I meant, players have no sense of direction, if a player is in their way, they don't run around them but straight into them, this happens a lot when defending. It's slack work from the programmers.
Quote Saddened! The biggest problem FIFA has is a chronic lack of competition. Pro Evo has been a joke since the very early PS2 days and there is no other competition.'"
Talking smack here I'm afraid, FIFA 04, 05, 06, and 07 were awful games and the PES iterations were streets ahead. 08 was an improvement and 09 and 10 were slight improvements. 11 was another improvement, with a lot of faults that needed addressing which weren't in FIFA 12.
Quote Saddened! That means EA can think about game modes (Better than Pro Evos) and just make minor changes to the gameplay this time. What is lacking on FIFA most is variety. Players are ALWAYS in the same base position for each scenario, goal kicks, corners, free kicks. So you always know where the players are and can pass the ball so easily to the same old players. For me from a goal kick it's a pass to the right back, central midfielder, right midfielder, one two with the stiker and a cross/pull back. Unless I prevent myself doing it, it's so easy to fall into the same old play. There is no movement, no individuality to the players and no variety to the gameplay.'"
From what I've seen so far of FIFA 13 it just looks like 12 with a few new gimmicks tacked on. Things like quick throw ins will be improved, and there are now tactical free kicks, and a new first touch system, but these things will be irrelevant when there are so many faults that still need to be addressed.
