Quote TheSurgeon="TheSurgeon"Wait for the Google tablet if you can, just as the android phones (particularly the Galaxy s2) are smashing the iphone sales now, it will be the same death knell for the ipad. Saying that, the new generation ipod touch with its 2 cameras is great.'"
Google tablet? I thought at first you might be referring to a tablet made by Google (which may exist, though I haven't seen one) but then you reference the SAMSUNG Galaxy S2 in relation to iphones, so now I assume you mean a tablet with Android on it; in which case they are already readily available (as are tablets with Windows on...) for mostly less than the price of an ipad.
To answer the other question, no, I don't particularly like apple products I find them expensive (and poor value) and little more than the latest fashion item; however I accept some people do want them; I was merely trying to work out if an ipad was your best choice or if an alternative may suit your needs better.
I still think an alternative would be better. You say you want to listen to music and browse the internet (and use apps presumably), sounds like you'd be better off with a smart phone (either apples iphone or the aforementioned Galaxy S2 with Android) would suffice. Both have large storage capacity, some models it can even be increased with a flash card (usually a micro sd, a 16Gb can be had for under £10).
If you're still thinking of an ipad because you want a larger screen and hence less portability than a phone, why not look at a laptop instead? It has everything the ipad has and more as well as being cheaper and better value.
Failing that, if you still think you must have a tablet, and that no physical keyboard would suit your needs best at least look at other tablets before choosing an ipad, you'll find that they can do more and aren't hindered pointlessly (like the lack of usb ports on an ipad), probably cheaper and offer better value.
