Quote: Dead Man Walking "How can I have sent emails to people when I wasn't anywhere near the PC at the time ? Is it possible some cheeky sod was somehow snooping and then sent the emails to those in my address book ? Can anyone help me on this please ? Thanks.'"
It's possible they didn't actually come from you; if someone else has some nasty software installed on their computer, it can look at the email addresses in [itheir[/i address book - and send out spam which looks like it came from one of those email addresses (it's easy enough to spoof that).
If there are common email addresses in both their address book and yours, which is quite often the case, then people in your address book may get emails from nasty software which has infected [ithe other person[/i, and just [ilooks like it came from you[/i because the nasty software found your email address in their address book and used it as the "reply to" address (or whatever).
Get your work IT bods to take a look. They could easily check the IP address / mail server trail on the email headers or something to see whether they actually [idid[/i come from your computer?
