| Quote Ski="Ski"My dad used to rent TVs, but to the point where we'd then be owners of it, so we'd get cast offs and he'd get a new one in the front room. Used to love fighting my brother in armed combat (whatever we could find) to get the new old tele.'"
Same here, my mum would rent them until the point they were worthless to the rental company, who were always surprised she was still paying for it when she'd enquire about an upgrade. Either that or the company would have gone bust and been taken over by the time she realised the TV might not be worth the rental money any more.

Yes. But it's usually cheaper to finance and buy outright.

| Just finished both Mass Effect games, given the leap made from the first to the second game, what are your expectations/hopes for the third installment?
Have recently purchased Brink and Red Faction: Armageddon, any reviews/views? Also got Fable III and LA Noire to play through but can't decide which to start first?

I would suggest though, if it was on the Amiga, was it more likely to have been "Microprose" soccer? I could be wrong, I'm no expert on football games, but I'm not sure Microsoft ever developed a football game, or anything for the Amiga.'"
Your spot on mate, you really are "Retro"

Yep, can't disagree with any of his choices really, although I've never gotten on board with the Assassin's Creed franchise.
He's not wrong about Catherine though, always nice to see something original in today's market of sequels and remakes.

Whilst there is a nod towards some quirky games in there, particularly the Japanese games, he should also pay attention to the Live Arcade / PSN (Pfft) level games. That is where a wave of creative and innovative set of developers will release their wares. There have been tons of development houses closed and a lot of these have splintered off into smaller studios. Live Arcade is an absolute goldmine (Particular for those gaming purists who moan about the lack of innovation and the monotony of sequals) and no list of the best coming games can possibly leave out Trials Evolution.

| I'm most anticipating Twisted Metal on the PS3. Maybe it's just me, but annual games like Battlefield and AC don't really get the juices flowing on my part.
