| Much better atmosphere last night lads.
It certainly helps when senior players support the refs decisions.

People need to act like grown ups and enjoy themselves.
People need to accept whatever decisions the nominated refs make and get on with it. Nobody is a qualified ref and its' too cold to stand around arguing about what was what. There's no league points or medals at stake.
People need to accept we're all of differing skill levels and talent levels and nobody has the right to tell anyone they have to play this way or that way and not do this or that.
Players should embrace (not physically) all other players and pass to them and not just pass the ball around their own little group of friends.
Finally, everyone should just get the f[iuc[/ik out of my way and let me score loads of tries.
If people can't embrace this ideology than they should ask if the Lost Loiners is the level of rugby they want to play and might be better of trying something more serious etc.
Just my twopenneth.
PS, who on earth said PJ and Si were playmakers. Just daft lads who can run fast.
I don't often do this, but...
With the exception of getting out of your way most of those points pretty much sum up my continued non-appearance.

In all seriousness chief, I'd just stopped enjoying it over the summer.
It had got incredibly tedious standing around listening to the same voices whining about every decision that went against them, while those of us who prefer to play a little wider of the ruck got an insight into how it must feel to be England wingers under Tony Smith.

| Soon hopefully, I won't be working every Monday, so I may pop up again. I'll try and pick a warm night but I will no doubt turn up on when the temperatures hit minus.
What are the numbers like nowadays?

| There does seem to be times when things do get a bit serious these days. Certain people occasionally get ty when other players try something a bit different, or perhaps don't do exactly what is being shouted at them (e.g. pass to one side when a particular "playmaker" is calling for it the other way) surely training on a Monday night is exactly the right time we should be trying different things, throwing the ball about (but not on the first/second tackle!!) etc. and not supressing peoples' natural flair(?!)
When we all get talent spotted by professional scouts and end up playing for our own beloved Superleague clubs (or Hunslet in Scotts case) that's the time to take things a bit more seriously.
I believe this (seriousness) is partly to blame for the questioning of refereeing decisions.
i.e. player A gets annoyed because player B passes the "wrong" way
player B is p1ssed because player A has had a go at him.
Referee C makes a dodgy call.
players A and B have a go at the ref because they're both already wound up!!
it's a vicious circle.

If I ran forward all the time I wouldn't get the opportunity to use my Carl Gibson/Phil Ford sidestep.(ask an old person who those two are)

Do Aiden (and his brothers), and Jimmy still turn up?
