On the subject of Mondays can I just bring up something I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. I find it a bit infuriating that we are currently having a to play on half a pitch which is a stagnant mud pit when the other half of it is in great condition but not playable due to the flood lights being out. It wouldn't cost Morley that much to the get broken lights fixed surely and as Scott pointed out they've been out for 18 months now! There's also been recent instances of locked changing rooms, lights being turned off early etc.
I can't remember what we pay Morley a week but we pay them well over £1k a year and all they have to is turn on the lights and unlock the changing rooms. Their costs in terms of electricity and water are negligible. It's a nice little deal for them. I don't know what level of formality there is to our agreement with them but I don't think it's unreasonable to have a service level agreement put in place outlinging for our part what we will pay them and when. And for them, they agree to have the changing rooms open from 6:45 and provide us with a floodlit pitch, with lights on as required 7pm - 9:30pm, all lights working and a full pitch to ourselves. Then if they fall short on their half of the deal we don't pay them for that week.
Without this they're free to take the if they want to which I kind of feel they are a bit at the moment. If people think I'm a whiny, mud dodging winger, I'll shut up and take it on the chin... and I don't mean to upset the applecart Scott - you (+ Sam and Harry) do a great job running things.
Comments welcomed anyway.... see you all tomorrow.
Just me and Sam then! In the absence of anyone else chipping in I guess I'll back down and crack on Maybe just mention the lights thing to Morley anyway eh...
