Plenty of effort though and no reason to feel down-hearted. York are a very well drilled team containing a few ex pros and most of whom have played at decent amateur level.

People mustn't get too down-hearted at losses like last week (or last night) and we should enjoy the games. There's a lot of our lads who have never played before and facing games like the last two will be new experiences for them.

I am as competitive as the next man (some times a little too much ) but I remember a couple of years back the sagely old Harry reminding me why people come to the LL on Monday nights.

Gareth is right and you tend to find that a happy team that is enjoying playing rugby regardless of the opposition plays well anyway.

I know I haven't been involved for a couple of years now but the ethos of the lost loiners remains the same.

Forget about the game and enjoy playing. The performance will look after itself.
